In her one woman performance, Lindsay Fairgrieve talks about her book ‘A Mature Student in China’ and why she gave up a lucrative career in London at the age of  forty-five to follow her lifelong ambition of obtaining a university degree - at whatever cost. She describes her experiences with her fellow classmates, most of whom were teenagers. She goes on to talk about her eleven month stay in Tianjin, travels to Beijing, the Great Wall, Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Lhasa, Kathmandu and Mount Everest as well as other interesting destinations and fascinating foods she encountered along the way. Her performance is peppered with humour, intrigue and fascinating facts, especially from her perspective as a mature student.

Lindsay will be donating a percentage of any profits to the Medical Imaging Department at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. She will also be signing copies of her book at the end of her performance."
