Matilda won the inaugural Eric Aubier International Trumpet Competition in October 2017 in Rouen France, beating 53 other contestants to claim the First Prize in the Master Category. She performed the third movement of Haydn's Trumpet Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic under the baton of Alpesh Chauhan at the two BBC Ten Pieces II Proms.  In conjunction with these events, Matilda performed live on BBC Radio 3's In Tune Proms Special on the opening night of the Proms, and on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour. She has also performed as a soloist with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the London Mozart Players.


Her programme will feature the magical Nicholas organ at St Clements Church and include works Telemann, Viviani, Albinoni, Hovhaness, Neruda and a new commission by Ed Nesbit.
